Hello!
I'm relieved to report that I'm finally feeling myself again after a nasty dose of the flu and am ready to take on 2025. I hope you managed to dodge the germs and stay healthy!
There is much to look forward to this year, including our silver wedding anniversary in the summer. To celebrate this mighty milestone, Adrian and I are off to Mauritius in a couple of months for a two-week holiday.
I am counting down the days!
Once again, we'll be helping out at the Self Publishing Show Live in London in June, the perfect excuse to catch up with all our indie author buddies.
I'm also looking forward to the Bookouture summer party in July, when I get to rub shoulders with the likes of Sue Watson, S.E. Lynes, Samantha Hayes and my great friend A.J. Campbell. It's always a real pinch-me moment when I find myself in the same room as so many authors I have admired from afar for years.
My next psychological thriller, The Husband Before You, will be published in ebook, audiobook and paperback on Tuesday 1 April, and I'm really looking forward to that.
It's always exciting - and a little nerve-wracking - when a new book is released into the world.
I also plan to write at least two more books - and maybe a novella - this year, and I've already made a (slow) start on the first.
And I have some very exciting news about The Baby, which I will share with you as soon as I'm allowed, but it's all very hush hush at the moment...
[Sorry to be such a tease!]
And so, what of the free book I promised you? Well, my third domestic thriller, No One I Knew, is completely FREE to download until Monday, 27 January. You can check it out here.
When Cleo Cooper’s daughter vanishes during a family barbecue, her perfect life begins to unravel.
Everyone thinks three-year-old Immy drowned in the river at the bottom of the garden.
Everyone except Cleo. Because all her instincts tell her someone took her daughter. Someone she knew.
With time running out, Cleo sets out to uncover the truth. But the deeper she probes, the more she realises everyone has a secret to hide. Especially her husband.
And as Cleo unpicks the lies, she discovers her carefully constructed life was just an illusion.
No One I Knew has an average 4.4 out of 5 star rating on Amazon in both the UK and the US, with more than 6,000 ratings and reviews.
It is also one of the books I am most proud of. So if you haven't read it yet but like the sound of it (and enjoy a freebie!) please check it out. And if you've already read it, please tell a thriller-loving friend!
That's all from me for now.
Happy reading!
Amanda
